Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and manage HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC installers, providing training and guidance to enhance their technical skills and performance.
  • Work closely with the installation manager, warehouse manager, and installation apprentices to complete jobs on time and under budget.
  • Interpret and implement installation plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy in all installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues that may arise on-site.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, and technical vendor training.
  • Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback and option sheets.

Competencies for Success

  • Technical License: Class 1 Technician or Class 2 Residential Technician
  • EPA Section 608 certification with knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Develop a proven track record in heating and cooling systems, including the ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints, and other diagrams.
  • Clean, safe driving record.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • High integrity with advanced social skills and the ability to make solid connections.
